The Horse in Animated Film

Conference by Kristof Serrand organised as part of European Heritage Days.

A French animator who has worked for some of the world’s leading animation studios (DreamWorks, Netflix, etc.), Kristof Serrand will explore the portrayal of the horse throughout the history of animation, from the depiction of movement in cave paintings right through to today’s digital films. He will also look back at his work on the film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, using exclusive images and videos to explore the animators’ work on the anatomy and movements of the horse.
