Kiki de Montparnasse, the free spirit

La Cité is delighted to welcome you to celebrate World Animation Day with us, featuring a special programme of screenings.

Through two of her works, director and screenwriter Amélie Harrault will be in attendance to transport you to the vibrant Paris of the avant-garde and surrealism. At the heart of this vibrant era, one figure stands out: Kiki de Montparnasse, nicknamed the ‘Queen of Montparnasse’. Muse, artist and free spirit, this icon of the 1920s continues, a century later, to fascinate with her audacity and creativity.

A discussion with the director will take place after the screening.
