Perfect Blue – 4K Remaster

Mima leaves the idol group CHAM, in order to pursue her dream as an actress. Mima climbs up the rocky road to success by performing as a rape victim and posing nude for magazines, but is haunted by her reflections of the past.

The recent 4K restoration of Perfect Blue was supervised by art director Nobutaka Ike, with particular attention paid to preserving the film’s original visual tone and artistic intent. The restoration is based on a high-resolution scan of the original elements, with the objective of presenting the film to contemporary audiences while remaining faithful to Satoshi Kon’s vision.
