The Cité for Everyone

Throughout the year, the Cité internationale du cinéma d'animation team works in collaboration with the City of Annecy's user expert group to ensure that its programme, events and facilities are accessible to the widest audience possible.

The aim is to be able to guarantee a fully adapted and inclusive facility, whatever the visitors' specific needs may be.

This page outlines the accessibility facilities currently available, accessible events, as well as information on admission prices and how to access the buildings.

Prices

People with disabilities are eligible for a reduced rate (upon presentation of valid proof):

  • Musée du cinéma d'animation: €4.50
  • Major Exhibition: €6
  • Temporary Exhibition: €3.50
  • Combined exhibition ticket: €10 
  • Free admission for children with disabilities.
  • Free admission for the accompanying person.


The following supporting documents are accepted: 

  • Priority Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI)
  • Disability (80 %) Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI)
  • Parking Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI)
  • Military ID card
  • Social Security certificates of disability pension payment
  • MDPH applications currently being processed (less than 12 months old)

Physical Disabilities

The Cité has implemented several measures to improve accessibility for people with physical disabilities:

  • The entire building complex is accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).
  • The floors are accessible by lift.
  • Reception areas are adapted for wheelchair users.
  • The cinema can accommodate up to 8 wheelchairs at a time.

Visual Impairment

The following measures are currently in place for people with visual impairments:

  • From 19th to 27th June, some films will be available with French audio description via the La Bavarde app – download it here.
  • Some workshops will be accessible to blind and partially sighted people.

Handicap auditif

The Cité is equipped with several devices for people with hearing impairments:

  • The cinema auditorium and reception areas are fitted with induction loops.
  • Some screenings include French subtitles suitable for the deaf and hard of hearing.
  • Some screenings shown in their original language include French subtitles.
  • Selected guest talks are provided with French Sign Language (LSF) interpretation.
  • Some guided tours and workshops are also available in French Sign Language (LSF).
